This project, entitled "Echoes of 1925: A Cultural Dialogue Between Spain and the Netherlands", commemorates the centennial of a crucial year in cultural growth for both Spain and the Netherlands by combining key musical works and poetry that reflect the spirit of each nation during that period.

The performance blends live chamber music with poetry by Spanish and Dutch female poets from 1925, offering a platform to voices that, though powerful, have historically been underrepresented.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This is more than a concert: it is an immersive experience designed to transport the audience into the cultural atmosphere of the 1920s. Our project is adaptable to various spaces and contexts, making it ideal for collaboration with other artists and art forms. We envision performances not only in traditional concert halls but also in spaces such as art museums, historical sites, and unconventional venues, creating a multisensory dialogue between music, poetry, and visual arts.

Our ensemble—consisting of harpsichord, oboe, cello, flute, violin, viola, and clarinet—approaches these performances with a commitment to artistic quality and historical authenticity, creating a rich sonic experience true to the aesthetics of the 1920s. Each piece of music, interspersed with poetry, acts as a window into the cultural and stylistic nuances of this transformative era.

With this project, we aim to explore the cultural connections between Spain and the Netherlands, fostering a deeper understanding of their shared and unique artistic traditions. At the same time, we actively seek partnerships with artists from different disciplines to expand the creative scope of our performances, making each event a unique and enriching cultural experience.
